Tiny House Progress: roof framing and exterior wall sheeting

Hello!  happy saturday!  we have been busy building our tiny house on a trailer – a gooseneck trailer (see previous post on our foundation – the trailer)  The walls are framed, the roof is framed and we just put the plywood sheeting on the exterior yesterday.  here are a few photos and a time lapse video of the construction progress so far:

hope all is well, and we’ll keep you posted as we sheet the roof next!

Your trailer looks awesome..exactly as we hope to have soon. What did your research tell you about building on he goose and the trailer flexing, i have had trouble finding many goose tiny houses.

    • Hello Rick, that’s great you’re going to build one too! We didn’t find see any other tiny houses on gooseneck trailers when we were researching either – we deduced this was mostly due to the aesthetics of the hitch – we didn’t read anything about flexing or anything.

Do you plan on insuring this beauty, and or are you familiar with loyds of london as a possible insurance carrier.thanks

  2. Excellent job on that bedroom! The angles and framing are very elegant.

    Rick,
Try RV America Insurance. They are the only insurance carrier I could find that would insure a custom built tiny home.

Seems they will insure if its “professionally” built. Absolutely nothing with custom design build
